FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Where should I start?
Each of Rosalyn's tapes is designed to stand alone - each student may start with any tape set. We generally encourage folks to start with whatever tape set catches their eye.

2. Which tapes go together?
Although each set is designed to be studied alone, some sets compliment each other beautifully and examine a common theme from different angles. Below, the tapes are grouped around a common theme or category. These are merely suggestions; each set is a complete teaching in and of itself and every student is urged to follow his/her own interests.

3. How many tapes are in a set?
Each set of tapes was recorded during a weekend workshop with Rosalyn. Generally there are 7 to 9 tapes per set. Each tape is 90 minutes.


All of Rev. Rosalyn Bruyere's Audio Cassette Tapes are recorded from her weekend workshops. Each tape set is full of information, both on the subject of the workshop being presented and wonderful miscellaneous tidbits, masterfully woven together to meet the needs of her students.

THE MYSTERY SCHOOL TAPE SETS

THE GODDESS IN THE 90'S
Recorded in 1990, this tape set explores the reemerging Goddess cultures. With particular emphasis on the Egyptian and Celtic traditions, Rosalyn examines the feminine laws and compares them with their masculine counterparts. Additionally, she redefines darkness as the point of greatest potential: the place where all things begin, not end.

EGYPTIAN MYSTERIES
This landmark tape set explores at length the mystery school traditions. Rosalyn explains and explores the four levels of the Temple and teaches Egyptian theories of creation. She draws parallels between Christian mythology and Egyptian mythology, especially between Isis and The Christ.

EGYPTIAN HEALING
Explores the roots of modern medicine found in the ancient Temples of Egypt. Explains the ancient healing traditions and demonstrates some of the healing techniques. Many slides were shown during this workshop: descriptions were given to make them meaningful to students who would be listening to the tapes.

CEREMONY: Finding Comfort in The Sacred
This tape set provides an in-depth introduction to Ceremony and the Ceremonial process. Rosalyn defines the elements necessary for a ceremony as well as how to construct a ceremony. She explains the importance of ceremony itself and the necessity of ritual as a rite of passage.

REBUILDING THE PERSONAL TOTEM
This delightful set of tapes is a comprehensive discussion of Medicine Animals, allies and totems: the importance of Medicine Animals and how and when to ask for their help and guidance.

TAPES WHICH FOCUS ON HEALERS AND THEIR PRACTICES

THE ENERGY OF LIFE
These tapes provide a comprehensive introduction to the principles of metaphysics and basic energy concepts. Laying-on of-hands is introduced, and basic healing techniques are explained and demonstrated. Includes an overview of the Chakra system and its impact on the physical body. This set could easily be called "The Basic Energy Bible" or "Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Energy".

FINDING THE HEART AND SOUL OF HEALING
An extremely valuable set of tapes which helps healers explore their motivations to become healers and their expectations about healing and being a healer. Rosalyn includes a discussion of cooperative medicine as opposed to traditional vs holistic medicine. Rosalyn also suggests ways to interact effectively with practitioners from all of the healing disciplines.

CREATING A HEALING PRESENCE
Continuing discussion of healer's motivations and expectations of what it means to be a healer. Contains an in- depth discussion of the Field Affect: how the healer's own personal energy field affects other people and the interaction of energy fields.

HEALING THE HEALER
Being a healer in the 90's is a seemingly endless task: as public awareness of the benefits of healing grows, so does the complexity of conditions presented. Rosalyn has dedicated this tape set to you, the Healer. She describes in detail the importance of monitoring and maintaining yourself. Rosalyn often says, "The world is not a better place if it is 'up' a patient and 'down' a healer." In this teaching, Rosalyn makes sure the world is 'up' a healer, too!

THE BODY SYMBOLOGY SERIES

BODY SYMBOLOGY
Rosalyn Bruyere pioneered the concept that body parts and symptoms might represent more than the 'dis-ease' process the clients present for treatment. This set of tapes is her basic introduction to these concepts and contains the original, generic framework for disease interpretation: i.e. the left side is generally feminine and the right side is generally masculine; feet are generally parental, knees are generally sibling etc. Body Symbology is the necessary tool for healers who wish to assist their clients in a more complete healing experience.

THEORY OF BODY SYMBOLOGY
Building on the traditional concepts of Body Symbology, this tape set introduces the theories behind the basic concepts enabling healers to personalize the interpretation of each client's condition.

BODY SYMBOLOGY : A Spiritual Exploration of Disease
This is a landmark set of tapes which greatly expands the role of Body Symbology in healing. Traditional Body Symbology seems to focus on the psychological interpretation of events from the past which are impacting the present. This set of tapes focuses on the metaphysical interpretation of 'disease' which deals with the present and how it will impact the future. Healers will learn how to acknowledge the past, deal with the present, and create a space for the future.

BODY SYMBOLOGY : How Your Biography Becomes Your Biology
This set of tapes expands on the material presented in "Body Symbology: A Spiritual Exploration of Disease." The biography of the past is manifest in the biology/pathology of the present. The focus of these tapes is on the impact today's biology will have on the future and what improvements, modifications, and shifts are possible to enhance the future.

TAPES SETS WITH FIRST CHAKRA FOCUS

(RE)AWAKENING THE FIRST CHAKRA
For a variety of reasons, many people have 'numbed out/turned off' their first chakras. They are walking around without the vital information the first chakra provides. Consequently, they are ungrounded and out of touch with Mother Earth. This tape set covers first chakra functions and provides many valuable exercises specifically designed to reawaken and revitalize the first chakra. This workshop was taught with Ken Weintrub.

EXPLORING THE FIRST CHAKRA CONNECTION
In this tape set, Rosalyn gives comprehensive teaching about the first chakra. She discusses the imperative of being grounded and effects of "groundedness" (or lack of it) on the functions of ALL the chakras. The interelatedness, interconnection, and interdependence of all the chakras on the first chakra are covered. Some first chakra exercises are also included.

SEX AND SPIRITUALITY
In this set of tapes, Rosalyn explores the physical side (sex) and the spiritual side of the first chakra and how they are both sides of the same coin. She delves into issues of intimacy, celibacy, innocence, stored traumas, energy blocks, and reestablishing the flow of energy. She stresses the importance of physical movement as a way to keep the energy moving.

HEALTHY BOUNDARIES : A Field Guide to the Second Charkra
This powerful workshop provides an in-depth exploration of the second chakra. It is a comprehensive study of the emotional body, the immune system and the importance of boundaries in maintaining both. Ken Weintrub provides invaluable exercises designed to define and strengthen one's boundaries.

ON BECOMING A PERSON OF POWER
This tape set defines personal power and provides extensive discussion of where power loss occurs, especially through emotional cords to others. Equally extensive discussion is provided on reclaiming and embracing one's personal power, using specific techniques such as recapitulation and establishing boundaries to prevent further losses.

FAMILY TRANCE AND SPIRITUAL ADOLESCENCE
The Family Trance is defined and its negative effects are explored, with particular emphasis on how it sabotages daily interactions. Specific techniques are provided for healing these trances, particularly in ourselves. Spiritual Adolescence refers to a not-yet-fully-grown spiritual person who is still affected by/can't recognize the trance when it appears. This workshop was taught with Rev. Chris Faulconer.

THE UPPER CHAKRAS

SOUND, SILENCE, AND TIMING : THE FIFTH CHAKRA
This chakra represents the physical (etheric) part of the spiritual body and corresponds to the first chakra of the physical body. It is deeply connected to all phases of energy healing, including all of the various vibrational frequencies necessary for the same. This powerful set of tapes explores, defines, demonstrates, and clarifies the sounds, the absence of sounds, and the rhythms and pulses of healing.

THE THIRD EYE : THE SIXTH CHAKRA
The third eye has long been considered the window to the soul and the gateway to the mysteries: it can see beyond the physical into the 'unknown'. Many consider it vital to energy work.
