Sympathetic Magic
Since ancient times, the wisest of people knew of and used sympathetic magic. It formed the basis of religious liturgies and ceremonial practices. In the arts it was known as harmonics and rhythms. in alchemy it was referred to as a chemical correspondence. In the world of energy healing it is the mystery which performs the miracle that is seemingly beyond the ability of the practitioner.
Sometimes healers need adeptness and esoteric finesse as much as they need skill. Sympathetic magic is the art of making what seems impossible happen. Once you understand the levels of awareness in ritual and ceremony, you begin to find tools from inner states of consciousness to create the miraculous within a treatment and even within your life.

| Location | The Island Hotel Register early! We have a limited amount of Hotel rooms, if you register and book your hotel room in December, we will be able to get the room block larger. Lodging is not included in tuition price. Contact the resort directly (see link below which gives you access to the negotiated rates) to arrange your lodging. The conference room block is only guaranteed until Jan 2 2015 and after that the room block is released; rooms are also subject to availablility.Special Hotel Conference Room Rates: ——Single room - Island King $249/night ——Luxury double Queen $269/night (or $134 a night with a roommate) Please find a roommate of your choice, if you need help in finding a roommate please contact Liz Chazen. Make your reservations soon, as there are limited amounts of rooms available! This Hotel is beautiful ! Your rooms are comfortable, have refrigerators, coffee makers, etc. The hotel has a heated pool and Jacuzzi, and we are CLOSE TO THE OCEAN! You can come early before the workshop and stay afterward with the same room prices. There are 40+ restaurants next to the hotel, and a Whole Foods in walking distance. Overall it is a magical place for a magical workshop! |
| Getting There | The Island Hotel is located 15 minutes from John Wayne airport in Long Beach, and 45 minutes from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
A taxi from John Wayne Airport is approx. $25. You can also take the blue van Super Shuttle service from either airport Call (800) 258-3826. If you fly into LAX use the Super shuttle service (not a taxi), or rent a car.
While it is not necessary to have a car during the workshop, you may want to share a rental car with others. This Hotel is located in the city center, and it is easy to get to everything, There are airport shuttles and taxis to get to and from the hotel/airport. Conference negotiated parking rate is $16 a day. |
| Tuition & Payment | Registration fee is $1075. Workshop fee covers tuition, and all breakfasts and lunches Monday-Friday. To Commute to the this class, there is an additional commuter fee of $125. |

CEU Credits
Nurses Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing for 30 contact hours. CEU Credit Certificate provided. Application fee is $20. (Requires separate payment made out to HLCC. Please submit with CEU application at the end of the intensive.
Certificates of Completion
Certificates of Completion are available to all students. Application fee & process is the same as for CEU Certificates above.
